Olympia Le Tan
Olympia Le Tan is a french designer who creates beautiful box clutches made to look like famous novels. All her bags are handmade and limited to only 16 of each design, with the 'first edition' made my Le Tan herself. Le Tan interned at Chanel after art school in Paris and spent seven years with Balmain learning her trade before setting up her own label. Her fall 2011 collection continues her love for vibrant covers from the 1940's and 50's and is inspired by the 50's housewife naming her collection "Housewive's Choice”. The collection is made up of typical things from the kitchen - from cookbooks to milk cartons to totes made out of checkered tablecloth fabric and pots and pans embroidered on them. My favorites are the book shape clutches with titles like "The Art of Happy Marriage", "The Loving Couple" or "Ex-Wife" and "Ex-Husband".
