DEATH OF THE PLATFORM.....

I spent the day out at Galway races for Ladies Day, and could not help but notice the young girls in outrageous platforms, it literally has got out of control! "When a woman looks as though she has the Oxford English Dictionary attached to her feet, its time for the pendulum to swing the other way" - says Tom Ford. So thankfully there is a change coming this season with designers embracing a lower more demure platform; the deal was sealed at Balenciaga where Nicolas Ghesquiere sent his models down the runway in platform-less, sleek pointy-toe shoes. Riccardo Tisci followed suit at Givenchy, as did a multitude of other designers - paving the way for a trend that is more flattering and will look sexy and elegant on any woman! THE SCANDINAVIAN FASHION PACK...

The Scandinavian girls are big news on the fashion circut, they are the leaders in street style and daily inspiration at my work. They have a minimalist approach to fashion with an injection of something exciting and different. I love all of Phillip Lim's collections, they are functional without comprimising on style.
